A super-powered New Moon, an incredibly Mercurial week, and a hugely impactful lunar cycle.

This week is all about Mercury. And each of these mercury transits, which occurs on different days, are active in the New Moon chart. So we really could just talk about this big ass Mercurial New Moon. Also, heavy mercury transits continue into next week, with 6 out of the 7 transits involving Mercury. There is going to be so much hustle and bustle, so much quickness. And in two weeks we’re going to get a very big deal full moon — a week that is going to be very very big for politics and events on the large scale, I expect. This is such a huge year because of the changing of signs of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, and the recent ingress of Saturn in to Aries and soon to come ingress of Jupiter into Cancer are just going to accentuate this radical change. We are all trying to figure out where we are going, where we are headed. And because Saturn has just entered Aries, we are all feeling really fast moving and impulsive about the things we want to build. We want everything manifested and established in front of us, now. But can you build a house in a week? NO!!!!! I know!!! I LOVED Extreme Makeover Home Edition as a kid. Decades later, we know the truth about those houses— they were absolutely built like shit, and they didn’t last.

So, we are wanting to move fast, to each build a Rome a day. And all of the quick, connective, Mercurial energy coming up will contribute to that. Know that Saturn will be in Aries for several years, so you have time. But know that Mercury is going to fly through Gemini in only two weeks, and in that time, it will make aspects to so many planets. Mercury is STRONG in Gemini, it is AT HOME here—- and rather, Gemini is its absolutely most Gemini in Mercury, and only Mercury. Use this week for information, for connection, for learning and speaking and getting in your community. I know it may feel like you need to do something with all this information right now— to build something new— but you really don’t. This is a massive time for networking, for community, friendship, learning, speaking, hashing out ideas, recording podcasts, etc etc etc. In other words, it can really be used for researching and networking and drafting blueprints for what you may want to build— but not laying down any foundations.

So the Monday New Moon in Gemini is ruled by Mercury, which is in Gemini and very strong. It has just come off of a sextile with Saturn. Monday, Mercury sextiles Neptune in Aries. Tuesday, it trines Pluto in Aquarius. And Friday, it conjoins the Sun- this is reffered to as a cazimi, and is an incredibly potent moment.

So this is an incredibly influential New Moon because along with Mercury, the ruler, being involved in it by aspect, so are Saturn, Neptune and Pluto. . Neptune and Pluto are outer planets, and they have to do with collective, large scale issues, and influences that sort of feel like they are more powerful than the hand of a human. They have a lot of influence, and they are the reason for a lot of the change we are experiencing in the collective, on national and global levels.

That means though that this new moon— and therefore this lunar cycle— can be really really big for learning new information about your role and existence amidst these changes.

I’m expecting lots of political shit to hit the fan later in June (in two weeks actually) so this is a great time to GET CONNECTED IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. Gemini has correspondences with your locality— your neighborhood or city, local schools, coffeeshops, libraries, and your siblings, people you grow up with and learned to communicate with. And if there is one thing I have learned from all the apocalyptic, world building fiction I’ve read, is that our survival is dependent upon the strength of our local communities. So get connected. That is the goal this week. You don’t need to develop any intense long standing systems— you just need to connect, connect, connect.

On Sunday the 24th, Mercury sextiled Saturn (written about in last week’s horoscope). Because this sextile is still active in the New Moon chart, theres some really big ideas and connections and communications happening regarding outlines and blueprints that you want to lay, regarding where you want to go. This energy is super relevant in the new moon; there’s a really harmonious and supportive and energetic flow between your ideas and your systems. Remember, they’re both in totally new energies than they were only last Saturday.

The sextile between Mercury and Neptune looks really good for inspired connection, for connecting over shared visions and ideals. If you’re an artist, this is great. This is great for learning, maybe honestly for advertising, idk, I just came up with that, we’ll see. It’s great for gaining or distributing new information, and information that has to do with new ideals, for learning new ways to inspire the direction of the self. For how you want to move forward, cutting through other stuff, in the world. For how your communities and friends want to. And for you as an individual, this is really really good for new insight and inspiration and ideas.

Mercury’s trine to Pluto is powerful as well. On a personal level, is a big deal for your understanding of something long-term that Pluto has begun, over the last several years, in the early Aquarius area of your chart. It is only at the beginning of its journey, and it’s standing pretty still right now at 3°. So wherever Aquarius is in your chart—whatever it’s going through— this is a big day for connecting with, understanding, and talking and thinking about something powerful and big that you’re experiencing somewhere in the Aquarius ruled sector of your chart.

Pluto has been in and out of Aquarius a few times already in the last few years, and based on that data the astrological community has a pretty significant grasp on the issues humanity will experience while Pluto is in this sign. Paired with the trine to Mercury in Gemini, I’m expecting some news about some new partnership or pairing related to AI and tech giants around this time. Some major news about a direction they’re so excited to move in. Some new tool. Then even with Neptune in Aries involved… its like something about this is incredibly related to forward movement of the self. Some AI/tech device that helps self optimization. Maybe like the announcement of some weird humanoid robot. Or an AI war robot. Anyway.

Then Mercury has its cazimi, which is when it is conjunct the sun. Mercury gets a lot of energy, solar power, illumination. It is super powered. This is just the highlight of the moment of anything Mercurial for kind of the entire year. Huge cognitive and communicative energy. Huge orientation towards partnership and connection. Sooooo much energy here! Such a highlight on Gemini issues. Take care of, and also adore, your Geminis this day cuz they’re gonna be feeling soooooo much energy and flying all around!

So, this week is just Mercury Mercury Mercury, and Mercury connecting to some powerful outer planets. And this summer is going to be full of so much change— so much influence from these outer planets. This might be your best opportunity to really, really understand and talk and learn about whatever the outer planets are dredging up for you, and whatever they will continue to do throughout the summer and for years to come, for you and for all of us. They are going to be doing a lot of stuff later, and it will often be difficult. Work with this energy. Learn, connect, speak, write, communicate. Learn learn learn learn learn learn learn. Get all over the place. Get in your community. Connect. We will need it in a few weeks. And I want to reiterate that the above Mercury aspects are all present and active in the New Moon chart— which means these themes will be present and unfolding for the entire lunar cycle.

Then the week ends with a conjunction between Venus and Chiron both in Aries. I think this is actually a beautiful, healing moment. A moment of imbibing beauty into an area where you’ve really been working on healing a specific wounding of your self concept. Chiron has been in Aries— wounding and healing— a certain area of your chart for several years. A conjunction with Venus can be really beautiful for creative transmutation of pain. For hot pink to meet blood red. For how affectionately sharing something you’ve learned about someway you hurt— for the impact of that on others (because chiron represents how your healing helps you heal others) to be seen as really valuable. So it’s kind of a sweet moment for transmuting pain. It also might trigger pain about your romance, the ways in which you relate to other people. Some old hurts. But remember, Chiron is just as healing as it is wounding. It shows us the pain that exists somewhere so we can turn it into something else.

Ok, that’s it for the week. Like I said, lots of big collective energy coming up, so really take advantage of this week. All of these transits (except Venus’s) being active in the New Moon chart means this new moon is incredibly potent for intention setting, for manifestation. It means this will be a month of a LOT of speed, connection, cognitive and verbal expression, and change. But from the perspective of celestial witchcraft, this is a super super powerful new moon to do ritual work under. Set some intentions for what you want to learn and how you want to connect this month— they may help keep you a bit grounded amidst all the movement and speed.
